A 13-year-old girl came onto the platform with shaking hands and a racing heart. When the lights struck her, the world appeared to halt for a brief moment. Then came the first note of “Bohemian Rhapsody”—a song so enormous, so legendary, that even seasoned stars trod gingerly around it.

And as her final note went out, over 105 million people across the world sat stunned, goosebumps rising and eyes wide. She did not only perform. Angelina Jordan, who was seven years old at the time, won Norway’s Got Talent in 2014. The little kid prodigy sang some of the most difficult songs, including “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Gloomy Sunday,” and won the competition, as well as millions of hearts.
