She didn’t cut her hair for 25 years, but just wait until you see her now

Wait until you see her now—she hasn’t cut her hair in 25 years. Everybody periodically wants to modify one or more parts of their look. Whether it’s the dull hairdo we’ve had for years or the clothing we’ve grown weary of, a minor alteration is always welcome.

Rosa Ramirez, an American, decided it was time to have a haircut after 25 years without one. She grew her hair so long that she occasionally stepped on it.

Her husband had tried for years to persuade her to change her hairdo, but she had always been proud of her 1.5-meter-long hair. After twenty-five years of hard labor, she finally had enough and went to the hairdresser with a handful of her friends to get her hair chopped shoulder-length.

Eda Motchka, the owner of the hair salon, said of Ramirez, “We love to see different things done on customers—different styles—and we meet very often, and I always see her the same way.”

However, she was doing it with a purpose. Rosa gave four feet of her hair to Locks of Love, an organization that manufactures wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer.

“I think it could bring joy to someone suffering from a severe illness,” she expressed.

Rosa’s evolution is pretty fascinating. Watch the video below to see it in action.
