The 71-year-old singer ignites the ‘The Voice’ stage with ‘Stand By Me.’

Jimi Bellmartin, a senior contestant on The Voice, stole the show in the finals with a powerful rendition of the R&B classic ‘Stand By Me.’

After winning the season, Bellmartin could release an EP and perform live at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. Since the beginning of that year, Bellmartin has been the overwhelming favorite.

All the coaches turned around in one go when he sang James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World” from the first notes of his audition.

In 1970, Bellmartin released his first single, ‘This is My Love Song.’ Bellmartin debuted as the lead singer of The Soul Snatchers, a funk band, in 2007. Bellmartin’s ‘Stand By Me’ performance on The Voice is one of the most memorable, thanks to his signature soul sound.
