Nick Moran’s “ordinary” neck pain turned into a serious emergency no one anticipated…

Actor Nick Moran, best known for his roles in *Harry Potter* and *Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels*, recently faced a frightening health scare that landed him in the hospital with a serious spinal cord injury.

According to close friend Terry Stone, Moran had been dealing with persistent neck pain, which he initially dismissed.

But after some urging from his girlfriend, he finally sought medical attention—only to be rushed to the emergency room for emergency surgery.

Doctors warned Moran that the damage to his spine was severe and carried the risk of losing his ability to walk or even speak.

During the high-stakes operation, surgeons had to remove four bones in his neck and replace them with artificial ones to protect the surrounding nerves.

While the surgery was risky, it was ultimately successful. Moran is now in recovery, though he’s still dealing with limited mobility and must wear a neck brace. Fortunately, he’s able to talk—something his doctors weren’t sure would be possible.

Stone shared that Moran is staying positive but still has a tough recovery ahead. His rep confirmed that he’s currently recuperating at home and making steady progress.

Moran’s journey is a reminder of how something that seems minor—like neck pain—can quickly turn serious. Thankfully, thanks to timely intervention, he’s on the mend.
