90-year-old woman’s performance will take you back to your happiest years of life

Meet Audrey, a 90-year-old singing siren who is ready to show everyone that talent never fades.

She sings ‘I Want To Be Liked By You’ and appears to be liked by Amanda, who praises her as “the cherry on top of the cake.”

Nobody anticipated a 90-year-old to steal the show, but Audrey Leybourne did more than that; she owned it.

When Audrey Leybourne appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2018, fans anticipated her to provide a beautiful, uncomplicated performance. What they received instead was pure magic. Audrey gave an impassioned version of “I Wanna Be Loved By You,” leaving the judges—and the entire nation—completely enchanted.

Audrey wasn’t just another competitor, as evidenced by her joke about being “in love with 22 gentlemen.” She was a lady who had lived, laughed, and loved, and she brought all of that experience to her performance. The audience surged to their feet, and the judges couldn’t help but smile at her contagious enthusiasm.

Audrey’s trip to that sparkling stage, however, was not an overnight triumph. She had a successful performing arts career for decades prior to her BGT moment. She had worked with the great Sir Donald Wolfit and then joined the Roly Polys, a popular tap-dancing ensemble that thrilled millions on The Les Dawson Show.

Audrey’s passion for performing remained strong even into her 90s. She welcomed every chance, even playing Potty T. Potts in a local production of Beauty and the Beast. Her enthusiasm, wit, and bold attitude reminded the world that aspirations have no expiry date.

Audrey Leybourne, 95 years old, died in December 2022, and the world cried farewell. Nonetheless, her performance, humor, and boundless enthusiasm for life continue to inspire. Audrey didn’t only turn back the years; she demonstrated that genuine stars never fade.
