The Timpanogos High School Choir was keen to thrill their audience with a unique take on a well-known classical tune, The William Tell Overture. First, the choir sang the instrumental a cappella. The teens surprised us with more than just that. When all of the singers turned their backs on the audience, one young girl remained in front. The first surge of laughter came from those seated.
However, once the troop began their antics, the crowd was the target. The orchestration of the missing turn certainly aimed to evoke a sense of surprise. They had the crowd rolling around in their seats, laughing.
Within a few seconds, the professionally dressed choir members pranced across the stage, as if on imaginary horses. The women then emulated their counterparts, and the audience roared out loud, evidently amused by what was going on on stage.
The hilarity persisted until the very end. The thunderous applause proved that this was a timeless performance. Somebody squandered an opportunity by not including these young individuals in a TV reality program. They are brilliant and have obvious stage presence.
Naturally, my description of the performance falls short. All you have to do is watch. No words can describe the comedy that erupts when these imaginative children enter the stage. If the Timpanogos High School Choir wowed you, please share their video because these youngsters deserve our appreciation.
